How to install statcounter on wordpress

Firstly I got the invisible counter code from a new statcounter project, then I: 1. Went to the Presentation tab 3. Clicked the Theme Editor Tab 4. And then selected to edit the code on the page "Main Index Template" 5.

I found the opening Body tag and added the code straight after it. Then saved and tested it. I found my 3D Model Design site made using wordpress records every page, post and archive page to Statcounter.

I hope this helps someone and also enjoy viewing my new site. Best regards, David. Last edited: Jan 8, Imurry New Member Jan 8, Yep - that would do it - I use the same thing 8. Sharron Moderator Jan 8, Hi Sharron, yes you are right. But it does work in the Main Template - I agree tho - it may not be the best place. I should have clarified in my previous reply. I do think that cluttering up the Main Template probably isnt a good thing in WP if you need to fiddle with things.

Click on the "Widgets" menu item. The menu then changes to give you an option as to where to put the widget - we suggest you click the "Main Sidebar".

A Widget Menu appears to the right of the Main Sidebar. Scroll to near the bottom if this menu and select the 'Text' option.

Your StatCounter will now begin recording visitor information and, if you chose the visible option, your counter will be visible on your blog! The image below shows a sample StatCounter.
